Glider Photo's

The Fun Start from Phoenix Models is an excellent Tail and Rudder trainer for the beginner in to the hobby, made from EPP Foam it is almost indestructible .  It is easy to build and fly and performs well in most wind conditions. I have bored holes in the wing and fuselage of mine which has removed about 12oz from it's original weight.

The ZAGI - SI  is available from all good model shops, made from polystyrene with EPP leading edge, it can be built in the morning and flown in the afternoon. It flies in most wind conditions and makes a great combat flier . For outright fun you can't beat this one.

My EPP Mustang - a solid EPP Combat aircraft that zagi's just bounce off, it is good fun but does need a fair wind and good lift. Kit available from Warbirds .

My Cobra 17, a 12 Foot Thermal Soarer, originally with built up wings but now with Foam Veneer wings,  this Tail and Rudder Glider is a bit of a handful but looks great in the air.

The Vega Sport, a 10 Foot Thermal Soarer is very similar to the Cobra as it is another Tail and Rudder Glider, this one may look like it is past, it's best it flies like a bird.  One of these days I will get around to recovering it and making a proper canopy.

My Kind of modified Osprey Balsa Fuselage and built up wings this Tail and Rudder.   With Air Brakes it is a joy to fly in light conditions.

The Foameron Twist Wing, Made from light weight blue foam this 60inch pylon racer with it's all moving wings can make turns and rolls that you would not believe. It can be ballasted to fly in most conditions and is always a talking point.

The Renagade is a 60 inch pylon racer the RG15 Wing section gives excellent lift and can make use of flaps and brakes , This plane really does move.

The Shuttle by Sid King available from Cotswold models.   This 60 inch pylon racer is very versatile fast and aerobatic it is up to you what type of tail you make .    It could be conventional T Tail , All moving Tail or V Tail as I have done.

The Starling my first attempt a building a glider from plans no die cut parts or assembly instructions, But that dose not make this a difficult plane to build, it can be put together in one week of evenings even if it is your first build from plan's.    Mine came out at 13 oz which is pretty good for a home made HLG ( hand launched glider) .     With very little trimming this plane flies like a bird, I am very pleased with it's performance.
